Ernest Lee Olson, "Ernie", was born October 5, 1950, to Norman Olson and Betty June Wilson and raised in Fisher Flats. He was drafted out of high school into the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. He met Marilyn Gobert in the 1980's in Ronan, Montana. They had a marriage of the heart, not of paper. He became a licensed Journeyman Electrician working as a lineman and electrician. Ernie called Fisher Flats, Ronan and Babb all home.
He enjoyed hiking, camping, reading, cooking, riding motorcycles, appreciated art and loved hanging out with friends and family. Ernie worked daily to better himself, overcoming every obstacle ever put in front of him. He was a healer and warrior who gave of himself freely, supported many and helped everyone he could.
He is survived by his son James (Kayla - the favorite daughter in-law) Olson; daughter Amber Olson, Grandchildren; Debby, Dorothy, Malaya, Jasmine, Harlee, Little Richard, Richard, Alan, and Great-Grandson Boyde.
He is proceeded in death by sons; Richard and Harley Olson; sister, Penny Olson and grandsons Dalton James Olson and Aethan Lee McArdle.
Ernie was a passionate, caring and supportive human with one of the biggest hearts around and he had balance in his later years. "And forever on a diet!"
