George Vernon Kuka, of Birch Creek, Montana passed away on August 7th,2026 surrounded by family. Vern was born to Merrill Kuka and Grace Pepion Kuka on November 5th,1936 in Browning, Montana. He graduated from Valier High School in 1955. He met the love of his life, Marie Fox Kuka, in Browning and they married in Cardston, Alberta. The couple was together for 63 years.

Vern was an accomplished Rancher, who in his younger years thrived in the rodeo arena(s) while Team Roping. He had a brief enrollment with the US Army before being medically discharged. In life he found great joy in hunting, camping, fishing, shooting gophers, and of course, Ranching. He had a love for music and could often be found singing. Visiting his friends, attending church, taking pictures, reading the news, and traveling could all be considered passions of his. While ice cream and sweet treats were among his favorite indulgences.

Some of his fondest memories were trips to Las Vegas to watch the National Finals Rodeo with Marie and close friends Robert and Ruth. The family will greatly miss his warm "Yello's!" as that was how he greeted everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Fox Kuka, sons; Mike (Trish) Kuka, Tom (Kari) Kuka and daughters; Verna (Mike) Buel, Terish Kuka, and Krystal (Mario) Yazzie. Other survivors include his 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Merrill and Grace Kuka, Brothers; Wilbur Pepion, King Kuka, and Merle Anthony. Sisters; Rosemary Sewell and Patricia Cobell.

The service for George Kuka will be held on Thursday, at 11:00 PM at St. Anne Catholic Church.

Visitation: Wednesday, at 1:00 PM at Family Home.
