Ramsey Nicholas Rink was born May 31, 1950, in Seattle, Washington. He moved with his parents shortly afterwards to East Glacier Park, Montana, where his parent's acquired jobs at the Glacier Park Lodge.

Ramsey grew up in East Glacier Park and attended the East Glacier Park Elementary School. He graduated from Browning High School in 1968 and spent a short time attending college in Kalispell and Missoula.

Ramsey opened Firebrand Food and Ale in 1976, his beloved bar and grill where he enjoyed working and serving patrons from all the surrounding communities for 43 years.

In 1979, Ramsey married Kathryn Des Rosier at Little Flower Parish in Browning. Kathryn and Ramsey raised two children, Rachel and Nicholas who also grew up in East Glacier Park, attended the East Glacier Elementary School and graduated from Browning High School.

In 2013, Ramsey was diagnosed with the beginning stages of Alzheimer's disease. He died peacefully at home on December 4, 2025, with his wife and son, his brother-in-law and his nephew by his side.

Ramsey was preceded in death by his parents, Marlowe and Marjorie Rink, his father and mother-in-law, Fred and Ramona Des Rosier, his son-in-law, James Carl Augare and his beautiful daughter Rachel, who passed tragically in February 2025.

Ramsey is survived by his wife Kathryn, his son Nicholas Rink (Kayla), grandsons Sawyer, Jace (Sarah), and Wind, his granddaughter, Scarlet, his great grandson, Kayzen, his siblings and many nieces and nephews.
